Ramayana Advance Booking Crosses ₹100 Crore Worldwide

Ramayana: Part One has crossed ₹100 crore in worldwide opening-weekend advance bookings, building strong momentum ahead of its November 5 theatrical release. The Nitesh Tiwari-directed epic, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Rama and Yash as Ravana, has entered the final stretch of pre-sales with demand rising across India and overseas markets.

According to trade figures reported by Sacnilk, the film has collected more than ₹60 crore in domestic advance bookings for its extended opening period, including blocked seats. Overseas pre-sales have contributed over ₹40 crore, taking the worldwide total beyond the ₹100-crore milestone.

The surge follows the expansion of screenings across the country. Additional shows and cinemas came online after distributor-exhibitor negotiations over revenue sharing were resolved, helping bookings gather pace beyond the film’s initial advance-sales window.

North American Preview Sales Near Dhurandhar 2

The film’s overseas performance has become a major talking point, particularly in North America. Ramayana has reportedly sold more than 51,000 tickets for its November 4 paid previews in the United States, bringing it close to the estimated 52,000-ticket benchmark associated with Dhurandhar 2.

The advance sales have already moved past reported preview-ticket benchmarks for several major Indian releases, including Animal, Jawan, Pushpa 2, Pathaan, RRR, Baahubali 2 and Kalki 2898 AD. However, matching or surpassing a preview-ticket figure does not automatically mean the film will beat those movies’ opening grosses, which depend on ticket prices and attendance across the full release period.

Trade projections suggest Ramayana could target a strong North American opening, with overseas opening-weekend estimates reportedly reaching $20 million or more. These remain projections, and the final numbers will depend on how bookings develop through release day.

Can Ramayana Deliver a Record-Breaking Start?

The film’s advance-booking trend is notable because demand is spread across multiple days rather than being concentrated solely on opening day. Saturday bookings have also shown growth as more screenings become available, giving the film a wider base heading into its theatrical run.

Produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in collaboration with DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, Ramayana: Part One also stars Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. The film is planned as the first instalment of a two-part adaptation, with the second part expected in 2027.

With worldwide advance bookings already above ₹100 crore, Ramayana is now being discussed alongside major Indian blockbusters such as RRR and Dhurandhar 2. Its actual opening, however, will ultimately depend on audience response, walk-in sales and how well the film sustains momentum after its paid previews.
